EXCELLENT TEACHERS AND DANCE WORKSHOPS!

Winter Dance School is extremely popular among Slovenian dancers and has proven to be an important form of education, encompassing different dance techniques and research workshops, led by renowned teachers and makers from Slovenia and abroad.

We proudly present the 35th edition of the Winter Dance School Maribor, a four-day-long intensive exchange of ideas and knowledge on classes for beginners, advanced and professional dancers. The Winter Dance School has hosted numerous famous choreographers, dancers, and artists. The wish for acquiring dance knowledge, experience and socializing with all the dancers and teachers is still powerful. This time again, we would like to serve a versatile program of high quality and enchant you with guest teachers and unforgettable 4 days of good company.

The 35th WDS will take place in Maribor, Slovenia, from February 21 – 24, 2020.
This year, we are hosting the following renowned dance experts from Slovenia and abroad, who have joined us to share their knowledge, skills, and experience:

Tina (Martina) Dobaj: Ballet fusion
Maja Kalafatić: Yoga, Contemporary dance and Workshop of Contemporary dance
Alicia Ocadiz: Contemporary dance
Gašper Kunšek: Freestyle – Urban Dance Cypher
Alex Tesch: Popping, Locking and Workshop Urban & Contemporary fusion
Katja Čuk: Salsa fusion solo
Urška Centa: Barefoot flamenco
Saša Lončar: Dance workshop for children 5-7 and mentors’ workshop “ THE FAIRYTALES ”

WDS is intended for dancers, educators, choreographers, and anyone actively involved in dance and movement. The program is suitable for different age groups, for beginners, advanced students, experienced dancers, and professionals.

ADDITIONAL OFFER

During WDS, you can relax with Chinese traditional massage given by Darinka Brešar, at the classic massage by Maja Lamovšek and Bioptron light therapy by Zvezdana Lamovšek. Please, make a prior appointment in info office WDS.

OUR SIDE PROGRAM

Our side program includes dance performance BAZEN (POOL) on Saturday, organized by festival Platforma of Contemporary dance /Youth platform, by Plesna izba Maribor and Institute MOJA KREACIJA Maribor with collaboration with Narodni dom Maribor.

CERTIFICATE

The organizer JSKD OI Maribor will issue a WDS CERTIFICATE to the participants who have attended at least one workshop on all four days.
